John Hopshire serves as the operations manager for MAVERICK’s Automation Solutions — South Region, working out of the Houston, Texas, office. He joined MAVERICK in 2011 as a senior project manager after spending many years in the specialty chemicals and oil & gas industries.

John has worked in many roles during his career, including project manager, engineering manager, IT manager, emergency response team captain, controls engineer, process engineer, and environmental, health & safety manager. John earned his Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering (BSChE) at Pennsylvania State University. He is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

John enjoys spending time with his wife, Gail, and their two daughters. John also enjoys volleyball, scuba and travelling in his free time.
