Mike Gavin manages MAVERICK’s Performance Excellence group. His responsibilities include customer service, workforce development, EH&S and the project management office (PMO). Under Mike’s direction, the group will coordinate multiple internal endeavors: drive ongoing improvements to the quality system and manage / guide our internal PM community; ensure quality customer service through the innovative use of reuse methodologies, best practices, intellectual properties and our industry-leading value promise; maintain a working environment that embraces continuous learning and high performance as critical components of success; drive efficiencies into all business processes through the proper application and diligent use of reuse methodologies, customized tools, lessons learned and intellectual property; devise, plan and monitor company-wide safety and industrial health programs; drive awareness and compliance across the entire organization.

Mike joined MAVERICK in 2002 and has served as a project manager, regional manager and director. Mike is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Automation Professional® (CAP®). He earned his Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Saint Louis University and his MBA, with a concentration in project management, from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). He is currently a member of the SIUE Project Management Advisory Board as well as the ISA CAP Steering Committee.
