MAVERICK Technologies Speaks Out on Outsourcing in Control Magazine

COLUMBIA, Ill., June 28, 2007 — MAVERICK Technologies is featured in a new Control magazine article detailing the positives and negatives of outsourcing.

Most companies no longer outsource simply to save money by performing operations overseas; today’s organizations outsource because of an in-house labor shortage or because they choose not to cultivate certain skills because they are only needed occasionally. A main challenge is deciding which tasks are core competencies and whether or not to outsource them.

MAVERICK’s CEO and founder, Paul Galeski, weighs in on this point and recommends the “income tax test” to determine which areas constitute core competencies.
