MAVERICK Technologies Appoints New Senior Vice President of Business Solutions
COLUMBIA, Ill., September 27, 2007 — MAVERICK Technologies, a next-generation engineering, systems integration and operational consulting firm, announced today that George Tomko has joined the company as senior vice president of business solutions.
With more than 25 years of experience directing all facets of information technology (IT) on a global basis, Tomko brings to MAVERICK a high degree of technical knowledge and industry insight with strong business acumen. Tomko’s expertise and goal-oriented approach will help MAVERICK generate significant growth in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and the enterprise application integration of manufacturing information with back-office and commercial systems, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. These contributions will further strengthen the tie-in of business, process and technology as a powerful and cohesive solution set for MAVERICK clients.
Tomko joins MAVERICK from The Solae Company, a joint biotech venture of DuPont and Bunge Limited that provides innovative food ingredients to advance global nutrition. As the company’s vice president and chief information officer, Tomko oversaw its worldwide IT function, which includes global SAP and related systems delivery, global computing and network infrastructure, IT strategy and business process optimization. Previously, Tomko was vice president and chief information officer for Resolution Performance Products and CIO for Astaris. He has also held high-level IT roles at Solutia, Monsanto Company and International Paper. He holds a master's degree in business administration (finance and marketing emphasis) from Southern Illinois University and a bachelor's degree in communications from St. Louis University.
