MAVERICK’s New World Headquarters Open House a Success!
Columbia, Ill., May 7, 2008 — MAVERICK is pleased to announce that its open house, held April 24 at the new World Headquarters in Columbia, Ill., was a resounding success! About 300 employees, clients and business partners gathered together beginning at 3 p.m. and continued the celebration throughout the evening with internationally themed food, drinks, music and door prizes.
As guests arrived, they received their official MAVERICK “passport,” which allowed them to travel the world within the building and gather passport stamps at six key tour destinations: Atlantis Learning Center, Caspian Sea Simulation Labs, Dubai Conference Room, Cairo Conference Room, Amsterdam Conference Room and Bangkok Conference Room. Each room offered a short presentation highlighting some of MAVERICK’s key features, including the MAVERICK University internal continuing education program, the technology solution simulation process and the qualifications for becoming an ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP), as well as MAVERICK’s offerings in the areas of field services, business solutions and advanced automation solutions.
Paul Galeski, MAVERICK’s CEO and founder, gave a brief overview of the two-story, 35,000-square-foot building. Construction began in May 2007 with a public groundbreaking ceremony, and the employees moved in at the beginning of 2008. The state-of-the-art building provides the space and equipment needed for advanced research and development, allowing MAVERICK to perform extensive on-site testing of client solutions. In addition to the advanced learning center, three simulation labs and seven conference rooms, the building houses a spacious boardroom, a hardware integration facility and more than 100 offices and workspaces for permanent and traveling employees and partners.
After the formal presentations, guests enjoyed their time meeting MAVERICK personnel, networking and simply socializing. Some played ping pong and foosball, while others enjoyed chatting and snapping photos. The fun even continued outside, where two MAVERICK-sponsored dragsters were parked for up-close inspection.
“Everyone had a great time celebrating the new World Headquarters — a milestone made possible through our recent growth and business success,” said Galeski. “As we move forward, the facility will continue to serve as a central hub for global business development and corporate teambuilding events.”
Anyone who was unable to attend the open house is invited to stop by for a personal building tour at their convenience.
