MAVERICK Technologies' Road to Success

At MAVERICK Technologies, we credit our success to our rich history of growth and innovation in engineering and systems integration. Paul Galeski founded MAVERICK in 1999 as a global resource dedicated to helping businesses reach new levels of success. Working with each customer to devise a unique strategy, we enhance productivity through the innovative application of industrial automation, enterprise integration and strategic manufacturing solutions.

MAVERICK traces its history to MAGNUM Technologies, which Galeski founded in 1989. Under his leadership, MAGNUM grew to global prominence in less than a decade, and was acquired by General Electric in 1997. Galeski applied this successful enterprise experience to the development of the MAVERICK business plan, which quickly garnered global growth and recognition. Within six years, he was able to buy back MAGNUM and the other constituents of the General Electric Automation Services (GEAS) group: TEAM Controls, Instrument Control Services and C. F. Picou Associates.

Buy Back Yields Broader Market

The GEAS acquisition significantly expanded MAVERICK’s business, most notably contributing new or expanded market share in key vertical markets, such as utilities, environmental, high-tech / semiconductors and chemicals. In addition, MAVERICK’s deep familiarity with the GEAS business model enabled the company to right-size the GEAS cost structure and cross-sell MAVERICK / GEAS capabilities into the combined customer base. With the acquisition of GEAS, MAVERICK became the largest privately held, independent systems integrator in North America.

MAVERICK’s other acquisitions include Software Architects in 1999, RHES (Vision Tech) in 2002, Professional Maintenance Consultants (PMC) in 2004, Laplace Technologies in 2006, Mission Controls and Program4 Engineering in 2009 and CQS Innovation in 2014. Each achievement has enhanced MAVERICK’s service offerings and industry expertise.

Award Winning Systems Integrator

MAVERICK was honored as Control Engineering’s System Integrator of the Year in both 2011 and 2015, and was inducted into the System Integrator Hall of Fame. In 2012, after many years of working with the International Society of Automation (ISA), MAVERICK became ISA’s Premier Strategic Partner for Systems Integration.

In 2016, MAVERICK was acquired by Rockwell Automation to help strengthen customer support and accelerate the integration of The Connected Enterprise. Together, we use information across our customers’ process applications and throughout their operations to understand our customers’ best opportunities for improved productivity, to combine our differentiated technology and domain expertise to deliver positive business outcomes, and to simplify our customers’ experience continually to drive productivity.
