Paul founded MAVERICK Technologies, LLC in 1999. MAVERICK is a global professional services firm that provides value-based automation, enterprise integration and sustaining services solutions in the manufacturing space. MAVERICK has successfully executed over 17,500 successful projects in 46 countries. As a global leader in automation services and strategic manufacturing solutions, MAVERICK has executed over $1 billion of process automation work and enjoys over 15,000 man-years of collective experience. MAVERICK has been named to the Inc. 500 List six times and recognized seven times as a Technology Fast 50 Company. Additionally, MAVERICK was selected as Control Engineering magazine’s SI integrator of the year 2011 and 2015. Other honors include being named the Frost & Sullivan North American Integration Company of the Year in 2008, and being recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as the 2nd fastest-growing business in the St. Louis region in 2002. Paul has led MAVERICK through 10 acquisitions, including GE Automation Services Inc. from General Electric.

In 2016, MAVERICK joined forces with Rockwell Automation to help strengthen their domain expertise, project execution capability and accelerate the integration of The Connected Enterprise. Maintaining expertise across all major automation platforms MAVERICK, now with the backing of a Fortune 500 company, remains committed to providing the best solution to its customers regardless of system or platform.

In 1989 Paul founded MAGNUM Technologies Inc., an engineering firm that provided automation and computer-aided design services. During his tenure at MAGNUM, he led the company to nationwide expansion. Under Paul’s direction, MAGNUM earned the status of a three-time Technology Fast 50 Company, an Inc. 500 Company and a Top 25 Small Business. In October 1997, MAGNUM Technologies was acquired by GE in a rollup that included five other businesses. Paul then served as president of GE MAGNUM Inc.

Experience and Awards

Paul attended Southern Illinois University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1983. He was recognized by Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year program as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of Illinois in 2002. Paul is a graduate of GE’s Management Development Institute in Crotonville, NY. He is also a graduate of the Owner / President Management executive education program at Harvard Business School. Paul is a licensed professional engineer, certified automation professional (CAP), Fellow member of the International Society of Automation and inaugural member of the Southern Illinois University Alumni Hall of Fame. He is also involved in corporate strategic planning, expert witness testimony and is a contributing author to Aspatore Books’ Inside the Minds, a series of publications that examine C-level business intelligence.

Paul currently holds a position on the Executive Committee of Sensia.
